I always ask the client if they have an idea of what they want designed on their mat. This time when I asked, a sleeve was rolled up to reveal an Iris/Lilly tattoo. Chuckling, I said “I can do that” and I did. Using two different colored faux backgrounds and very stylized flowers, the mat was a close vibrant cousin to its tattoo counterpart.
